Home Energy Rebates
In an effort to meet Denver’s climate sustainability goals, the City and County are offering Home Energy Rebates.
Denver’s EV Charging Home Wiring Rebate provides customers with up to $500 worth of rebate savings when you install an Energy Star Certified Level 2 EV Charger of their choice. (Portable chargers, even those that are Level 2, do not qualify.)
If you’re applying for an EV Charging rebate, your home electrical panel may need an upgrade to support the extra electrical load. This add-on rebate helps cover the cost of an electrical upgrade, including a new panel, associated wiring, or a new circuit required to install new equipment. The electrical service upgrade rebate covers 80% of the project cost, up to $2,000.

- Must install a LEVEL 2, Energy Star Certified EV charger

Application Process
Submit required documents to High West Electric:
- A recent copy of your Xcel Energy bill to High West Electric
- Sign a copy of your HWE invoice, showing the rebate savings
- Sign a “Consent to Disclose Utility Data” form
If you live outside the City and County of Denver, High West Electric can provide a free, competitive quote to install an EV charger at your home or business.
